Aston Villa to announce Guessand within next 48 hours
With an agreement between Nice and Aston Villa being reached on Tuesday, the transfer is moving quickly.

After this, the striker will sign a five-year deal confirming the move.
- Villa have agreed a £30.5 million for Guessand
- Emery convinced the striker to move to Villa Park over Saudi Arabia
- The 24-year-old is set to sign a five-year contract
Given this, the signing of Guessand could well now be confirmed within the next 48 hours as long as the attacker passes his medical.
This will be music to Emery’s ears as the 24-year-old may be able to play in some of Villa’s friendlies before the start of the Premier League season.

How good is Guessand?
Coming into Villa, fans will have heavy expectations on Guessand.
With the Birmingham outfit in the Europa League, there will be a hope that the striker can lead Emery’s side to the trophy and a return to the Champions League.
His previous form from last season proves he is capable of doing this, hitting 20 goal contributions in 33 Ligue 1 matches.
Stats also suggest that Guessand is a better all-round player than Ollie Watkins. However, the Premier League is a far tougher division to adapt to.
Only time will tell if the Ivorian will be a success, but early signs suggest that he should be a hit at Villa Park.
