Martinez faces crunch decision at Aston Villa as three transfer offers made

Aston Villa have had their summer dominated by speculation surrounding interest in several of their key players.

The likes of Ollie Watkins and Morgan Rogers have consistently been linked with mvoes away, after the B6 outfit failed to secure Champions League football at the end of last season.

Emi Martinez is another man who has been tipepd to leave Villa, with Manchester United having made several attempts to sign the Argentine over the course of the transfer window.

The Old Trafford outift have now seemingly cooled their interest, but the 32-year-old could yet move elsewhere.

Martinez has three potential offers on the table to leave Aston Villa

Martinez would surely command big money for Villa, given the levels that he has hit in their colours in recent seasons.

The former Arsenal man has become one of the Premier League’s finest shot stoppers, and he remains under contract at Villa Park until the summer of 2029.

However, while United may have stepped away from a potential deal, the veteran still has plenty of options available to him if he does choose to leave this summer.

Martinez has now received three different offers to turn his back on the Villans, according to reports from Tutto Mercato (1 August).

One of those proposals is understood to have come from Saudi Arabia, while the other two present opportunities for the gloveman to remain in Europe.

The Italian outlet also add that Unai Emery’s side would be looking for a fee in the region of £35million in order to entertain the possibility of a sale.

Villa need to get a definitive call from Martinez as soon as possible

The noise surrounding Martinez’s future has done Villa few favours this summer.

They have struggled to add to their squad as a result of their PSR constraints, and the fact that his future is still uncertain this close to the season is a major concern.

Emery has been able to add Marco Bizot as a likely understudy, but the 34-year-old is unlikely to come in and match the levels set by the Argentine.

As a result, Villa need a to get a final decision out of Martinez as quickly as possible. He has only just played his first minutes of pre-season, and he could seriously leave them in the lurch if he decides to start angling for a move at this late stage.

If that is currently where his head is at, then Monchi and Co. need to be made aware immediately so that they can quickly line up a replacement.

The last thing Villa need is for this saga to rumble on into the first few weeks of the season, and then lose Martinez too late on to find capable cover.
