Aston Villa make approach to sign Dominic Calvert-Lewin after double Villa Park exit
Aston Villa are looking to sign a new attacker this summer to help beef up their options up top.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin is one player who is being considered by Villa after the striker left Everton on a free this summer.
The former England international has struggled for fitness in recent years. However, the 28-year-old had previously been a clinical striker in the Premier League.
Now, Unai Emery is considering a move for the attacker, who is yet to decide on his next club.

Aston Villa see Calvert-Lewin as a cost-effective addition
As Emery examines his options in the transfer market, Calvert-Lewin has become a real option for Villa.
According to The Sun on Sunday, page 57 (27 July), the Birmingham outfit have now asked the 28-year-old about his salary demands ahead of a potential move.
Aston Villa may have to fight AC Milan and Newcastle for his signature, with the striker being in demand this summer.
With Emery looking for more cost-effective additions after the Villans’ troubles with PSR and UEFA, Calvert-Lewin fits into this category.
Villa are said to be keen on adding to their attack after Marco Asensio and Marcus Rashford left Villa Park after their loan moves.

Calvert-Lewin could be a sensible signing from Emery
While Calvert-Lewin has had a poor few years, on a free, he is worth the gamble.
If Emery can get him back on form and away from the sidelines, the striker would be a solid addition to the squad and would no doubt add goals to the team.

Quality in depth is a must for Aston Villa, and Calvert-Lewin would no doubt provide this ahead of a busy campaign.
Hopefully, Emery will look to make a move as soon as possible to ensure that he beats Newcastle and AC Milan to the signing.
