NSWE show clear intentions as Canvot offer update shared at Aston Villa
Aston Villa are keen on making a move to secure the services of Toulouse defender Jaydee Canvot.
Unai Emery is running on a limited budget this summer, but Villa are still hoping that a few of their potential incoming players go under the radar in a competitive market.
Canvot played 18 Ligue 1 games last season, in a successful breakthrough campaign for the 18-year-old who has attracted interest from a few clubs.
Emery will be hoping to move fast for the defender, having missed out on the likes of Sverre Nypan so far this summer due to being outbid.

Aston Villa make offer for Canvot
The Villans can’t spend big in the coming weeks due to worries that remain regarding the Profit and Sustainability Rules.
Therefore, NSWE seem to have one eye firmly fixed on investing for the future after already completing the signing of young Senegalese defender Modou Keba.
Now, Villa are making their move for Canvot.

According to The Athletic (24 July), Emery’s side have made an offer for the Frenchman, which has yet to be accepted but talks are reportedly continuing.
Canvot is keen on moving to Aston Villa, with Emery offering a clear path to the first team and has already shown his capabilities by playing for France’s Under 21s despite being just 18.
The defender, who featured regularly in the second half of the 2024/25 campaign for Toulouse, is valued at around £17million by his employers.

Emery to continue fine record of developing youngsters
Emery has a record of helping youngsters reach the heights they when to achieve during his time in the Midlands.
The Spaniard was crucial in helping Morgan Rogers become a quality Premier League player and has been eager to test his youngsters in cup games.
Despite not being as young, Emery was also important in helping Marcus Rashford get back to his fine form during his loan spell at Villa Park.
