Morgan Rogers sends new message as Arsenal transfer confirmed
Morgan Rogers has been consistently linked with a move to Arsenal, and the Aston Villa star is already familiar with a lot of their squad.
Aston Villa will hope to keep the midfielder at Villa Park after another outstanding season, but several clubs, including the Gunners, are interested.
Rogers is now a full England international and will be hoping to earn a place in the World Cup squad next year under Thomas Tuchel.
Arsenal have now announced a blockbuster new transfer, and Rogers has now reacted to the news.

Rogers reacts as Arsenal sign Noni Madueke
Arsenal have now signed Noni Madueke from Premier League rivals Chelsea, but while this could mean that they are no longer interested in Rogers, it could open up space for the Blues to swoop in.
Madueke has played alongside Rogers for England, with the 23-year-old typically a right winger who can also feature on the left.
Competition | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
Premier League | 37 | 8 | 11 |
Champions League | 12 | 4 | 3 |
FA Cup | 5 | 2 | 1 |
Both will be competing for a space in Tuchel’s squad next summer as England aim to win the World Cup, but he has now sent a message of congratulations to Madueke.
Madueke shared an Instagram post following his move, and Rogers commented, “Let’s get it, my brother,” in response to the deal, which could reach around £52 million in total.
Rogers linked with Villa exit
Villa are no longer under financial pressure to make sales, but Rogers has nevertheless attracted interest after his excellent season at Villa Park.
The 22-year-old established himself as a key player for Unai Emery as he made 54 appearances across all competitions, scoring 14 times while also providing 15 assists.
The Englishman’s versatility also makes him useful, as he can play on both wings as well as in midfield, and Arsenal’s reported interest may have seen him targeted as someone who could play alongside Madueke.
However, the fee spent on Madueke and their interest in Eberechi Eze could mean that they do not pursue Rogers for now, which will give Villa confidence that they can keep one of their star players for at least another year.
