Sevilla ready to sell Loïc Badé as Aston Villa make new transfer approach
Aston Villa have been targeting the foreign transfer markets as they look to strengthen ahead of the new season.
Yasin Özcan, Marco Bizot, and Zepiqueno Redmond have already arrived at Villa Park, with more signings expected.
As well as incomings, there has been significant interest in several of Unai Emery’s squad, with Morgan Rogers, Ollie Watkins, and Emi Martinez linked with a Villa exit.
Now, there has been an update on the future of Loïc Badé, whom the Villans have held prior interest in.

Badé more likely to leave Sevilla this summer
The Lions have already added to their defensive ranks, but ex-Villans scout Bryan King exclusively told Villa News that Emery could send new signing Özcan out on loan.
The Premier League outfit currently have four natural options at centre back, meaning they could do with one or two additions.
Badé was an Aston Villa target in January, but a deal never came to fruition as he remained in Sevilla
Last season, the 25-year-old made 32 La Liga appearances as the Spanish side swerved relegation by one point.
Loïc Badé’s 2024/25 La Liga statistics | Total |
Appearances | 32 |
Goals | 1 |
Assists | 1 |
Clean sheets | 8 |
Total duels won | 4.3 (65%) |
Clearances | 5 |
Sevilla need to make a major sale to go into the transfer market with more muscle, with all eyes on Badé, according to Estadio Deportivo (17 July).
He may be more attractive during the summer market, although a formal offer is yet to arrive for the Frenchman.
The Spanish outlet states that Villa have tried to sign the centre back, but Sevilla were unwilling to go below £26million.
While Badé preferred to stay in Spain, he is more open to a move this summer, which could re-ignite the West Midlands club’s interest.

Aston Villa must sign centre backs for Emery
Emery currently has Tyrone Mings, Ezri Konsa, Pau Torres, and Özcan as options in the hub of his defence.
However, given the latter’s age and lack of experience, the Spaniard only really has three senior options to choose from.
Villa will be fighting on all fronts next season as they will be playing Europa League football and need more numbers to compete.
Badé is a player with Champions League and Europa League experience and may want to play on a grander stage next season.
The Frenchman will certainly be one to watch as Villa strive to make quality acquisitions ahead of the new season.
