Aston Villa due diligence ‘on the cards’ to seal Ferran Torres transfer
Aston Villa are reportedly keen on signing Barcelona attacker Ferran Torres in the summer transfer window.
Dr Rajpal Brar, an injury expert, has delivered a verdict on his hamstring setbacks ahead of a potential transfer.
Last season, the 25-year-old featured regularly for the Camp Nou outfit domestically as well as in Europe.

Torres’ hamstring injury history may be looked at
Villa may take a look at the Spain international’s recent history of hamstring injuries before making a decision to sign him, according to Dr Brar.
Unai Emery wants to bring Torres to Aston Villa this summer, but no official bid has been tabled.
Speaking about this situation, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, told Villa News: “Villa may take a closer look at his recent history of hamstring injuries to assess the risk of recurrence and determine if there are any outlier or high-risk issues.
“He also had an appendicitis issue at the end of the season, so they may want to look at that one again.
“If they are happy with the risk/reward, then they would probably go ahead with this one.”

Aston Villa should consider signing Torres
Torres would be an excellent signing for Aston Villa due to his versatility and proven quality in the Premier League when he was at Manchester City.
The 25-year-old’s ability to play across the front three adds flexibility to Villa’s attack, complementing players like Ollie Watkins.
Competition | Appearances | Goals | Assists | Yellow Cards | Red Cards | Minutes Played |

Total 24/25 | 45 | 19 | 7 | 2 | 1 | 1,921′ |
His impressive 2024-25 season at Barcelona, with 19 goals and seven assists in 45 matches, showcases his goal-scoring and creative abilities.
Torres’ prior Premier League experience under Pep Guardiola means he’s also a smart player.
Guardiola said about him in 2021: “I have to think about how he can play as a striker because every time he plays in that position, he always has a real sense of goal.
“He is an incredible signing for us as a young player, he can play in three positions up front, but playing more central, he has an incredible sense of goal.”
His hunger for regular minutes aligns with Villa’s ambitions to compete in the Premier League and Europe.
Emery’s track record of maximising attacking talent makes the Spain international a strategic addition to bolster the Villa Park outfit’s firepower
