Morgan Rogers spotted with Arsenal legend after Aston Villa exit news
Morgan Rogers may not have been at Aston Villa for long, but he has already developed into a star player under Unai Emery.
Rogers signed from Championship club Middlesbrough for a fee of £8million, potentially rising to £15million in add-ons.
Despite the measly fee, the 22-year-old has become an integral cog in Emery’s system, hence there has been speculation around his future.
Arsenal have already entered the race to sign Rogers this summer, and now he has been pictured with an ex-player.

Ex-Aston Villa scout Bryan King exclusively told Villa News that he believes a move to Arsenal would appeal to Rogers.
The England international was in prolific form last season, notching 18 goal contributions in the Premier League.
Morgan Rogers’ 2024/25 Premier League statistics | Total |
Appearances | 37 |
Goals | 8 |
Expected goals (xG) | 6.58 |
Assists | 10 |
Expected assists (xA) | 5.24 |
Big chances created | 16 |
Former Arsenal midfielder Ray Parlour is clearly a fan of Rogers and believes the Gunners should sign him over Real Madrid star Rodrygo.
The former West Brom youth product has five years remaining on his current deal, which was last extended in November 2024.
Now, Rogers has been pictured in the company of Ian Wright on the 22-year-old’s Instagram story (7 July).
The pair appear to have been in each other’s company while attending the Silverstone Grand Prix.
While it is unknown what was said between the pair, it would be unsurprising if Wright hinted at an Arsenal move.

Aston Villa hold all the cards with Rogers
While it may only be a matter of time before interest in Rogers intensifies, the West Midlands club have all the power.
With five years left on his contract, it would take a sizeable offer to lure the Englishman away from Villa Park.
Furthermore, at 22 years of age, Rogers has the rest of his budding career ahead of him, and he should only improve.
Considering Jack Grealish was sold to Man City for £100million, the Villans can use that figure as leverage.
Although Rogers will likely remain at Villa Park this summer, interest in him will grow if Villa fail to reach the Champions League again.
While Rogers appears happy in the West Midlands, all it takes is one offer to change the situation.
