Aston Villa fans make Ozzy Osbourne demand at Villa Park after Black Sabbath gig
Aston Villa played host to the farewell tour of Black Sabbath on Saturday.
The King of Darkness performed on stage for the final time on 5 July as Ozzy Osbourne sold out Villa Park on an amazing day of heavy metal in B6.
With all profits going to local charities, there were huge positives to take as the claret and blue outfit welcomed supporters from all over the world.
This has sparked calls from a number of supporters to immortalise the rock legend outside the famous arena after the Black Sabbath show.

Aston Villa could build Osbourne statue at Villa Park
With Jason Momoa taking the stage to host, while plenty of other famous faces watched from the stands, it was a huge event in the Midlands.
These stars were joined by a sold-out crowd of well over 40,000 alongside a sizable number of fans watching online, racking up sizable revenue for everyone involved.
This is certainly hugely positive for Aston Villa and their hope of showcasing huge events in the future.
It is fair to say that the B6 club have Osbourne and Black Sabbath to thank for this exposure, something which could see a statue be erected of the legendary musician.
Supporters have taken to X to share their hope of this possibility, with one suggesting that up to £140million has been raised, a figure that led to the question, “Time for a statue?”
It is fair to say that many fans were on board with this prospect, with one simply replying, “Yes, we should,” while another said: “Arise Sir Ozzy.”
Another linked this back to the global reach and eyes the 76-year-old has brought to Villa Park.
They said: “The global knock-on effect from this deal we’ve had with Ozzy and Black Sabbath this season and this show will be massive moving forward in terms of global reach, exposure and revenue moving forward. All about the bigger picture.”
Others were keen to see other band members, including Geezer Butler, included in any memorial for Ozbourne moving forward.
Black Sabbath statue could be erected at Villa Park
If this weekend has proved anything across Birmingham, it is that Black Sabbath are a huge draw for people all across the world to travel for.
To have some sort of permanent link to the heavy metal icons could be seen as a huge financial play by the Villa hierarchy in the coming months and years.
Being able to entice supporters in with a link to Villa can open the B6 club to a whole new audience, which can only be seen as a positive.
In a world of PSR questions for Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens, the idea of having a statue of these legends could make total sense.
This wouldn’t be without reason either, given their strong links to the claret and blue outfit, with Butler having a clear love for the club above the rest.
