Aston Villa ‘ready to sign Yann Bisseck’ after new Emery demand

Unai Emery has put Inter Milan defender Yann Bisseck at the top of his list for the transfer window.

The Spaniard and Monchi face a tough summer as Aston Villa try to sign top-quality stars without the lure of the Champions League.

The duo are keen to get themselves back into the competition, but that may be a challenge given the financial limitations that they are facing.

The centre-back is one of the most promising talents in the game and would be a real coup for the Villa Park outfit.

Emery makes new Bisseck demand for Aston Villa

The German defender is an ambitious target for Emery and Co as they look to regain their place in the top five of the Premier League.

Gazzetta Dello Sport has reported in its print edition (page 4, 5 July) that Emery has demanded that the Villans sign Bisseck.

It states that the defender is valued at £30.2million, and Inter may be willing to sell after rejecting an offer from West Ham in the past.

Bisseck would be a brilliant signing for Villa

Bisseck is well-renowned for his ability to play out from the back, which is something that would suit Emery’s system with the Villans.

He is a towering defender at 6’5 and is a monster in the air, and his arrival would put pressure on the likes of Tyrone Mings and Ezri Konsa.

The German international featured 46 times for the Milan outfit last season, helping them reach the Champions League final, where they lost 5-0 to Paris Saint-Germain.

Emery needs a great window to help Villa qualify for Europe’s elite competition once again, and Bisseck would be an excellent start to their business.

There are still huge question marks, though, attacking reinforcements are needed, with the likes of Marco Asensio and Marcus Rashford leaving after their loan spells in B6.

Ollie Watkins’ future is in doubt, as he is attracting interest from the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United, so they could also find themselves looking for a new striker.

Bisseck would be a coup, but there is plenty of work still to do, to seal a deal, and to make the window the perfect one for the Villans.
