Aston Villa dream July transfers – Samu followed by £60m Ligue 1 star

Aston Villa are yet to spend a penny in the summer window to this point.

The Villans have been battling with a number of financial problems, which have dominated the headlines around the B6 club.

Now, Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens have negated PSR concerns and look set for a highly productive spell in the market, ahead of the new season.

This is likely to see Monchi have a sizable shortlist of options, something which could be utilised to make a number of signings throughout July

Samu to lead July incomings at Aston Villa

It is fair to say that striker rumours have been flooding in throughout the early stages of the summer transfer window in the Midlands.

This comes after Ollie Watkins was linked with a Villa exit, with Manchester United the latest side to showcase an interest in his signature.

With the England international now 29, this could prove to be one of the final opportunities to land a positive fee for their Premier League record scorer.

This big-name sale could prove to be the catalyst to bring Samu Omorodion in from Porto in a true blockbuster signing in B6.

The Spain international would prove to be a real coup for the Villans after 27 goals in 45 appearances for the Portuguese giants since signing in 2024.

There is every chance that the 21-year-old could replicate that form in the Premier League and become the go-to man in a Villa shirt for years to come.

Lucas Chevalier to sign from Lille as Emi Martinez replacement

It is fair to say, a dream transfer window would likely end without Emi Martinez leaving to join Manchester United, but some sort of move feels likely.

This would prove to be a sizable loss for the Villans after how much success the Argentina international has had since joining from Arsenal.

Dibu would certainly take some replacing, and Chevalier could prove to be that man after a stellar few years with Lille in Ligue 1.

Villa News previously learned that the French side would demand £51million for the 23-year-old keeper, a fee that could prove to be a bargain this summer.

With that in mind, a sale for Martinez could make way for the Lille star to be the dream alternative before the end of July.
