Aston Villa transfer state of play: PSR issues, latest rumours, likely outgoings
Aston Villa have an uncertain summer transfer window ahead as more PSR concerns loom.
Unai Emery may have to lose some key players after his side failed to secure Champions League football last season.
Villa fans will face a similar summer to last, when the club were forced to sell several players to comply with financial regulations.
In terms of incomings, there may have to be some departures before fans see any new faces at Villa Park.

Villa in line to sign Manchester United star Garnacho
Villa are yet to confirm the signing of anybody, but there have been plenty of names linked to the club.
Alejandro Garnacho is one of the names being mentioned with a move to the Midlands.
The Manchester United winger sparked rumours when he posted a picture of himself wearing a Villa shirt with Marcus Rashford’s name on the back.
United are thought to be seeking around £60million for the Argentine, which may be too steep for Villa.
In terms of incomings, Marco Asensio is one player that the club may look to bring back to Villa Park.
The Spaniard enjoyed a fruitful loan spell at the club last season, scoring eight goals across 21 games.
There was no buy option included in the loan deal with Paris Saint-Germain, so a fee would have to be negotiated with the French side to secure the signing.
Villa are also targeting another star from Ligue 1 as a possible new goalkeeper.
Lille shotstopper Lucas Chevalier is thought to be admired at Villa Park, though they may face competition from PSG.
The 23-year-old is available for £51m, but certainly has the potential to be a star in the Premier League.

Martinez and Rogers headline potential exits
Villa fans can expect plenty of squad turnover in the next couple of weeks, with the club set to sanction a number of sales.
Emi Martinez looks set for an exit, with Manchester United heavily interested in the Argentine.
The 32-year-old’s five-year stay at Villa Park looks to be up, with the two sides already in contact over a potential sale.
Morgan Rogers is another player set to be in high demand this summer after an excellent season.
Arsenal and Chelsea have been linked with Rogers, with Villa wanting well in excess of £60m for the England international.
Villa have made it clear they do not want to sell the 22-year-old, but may be forced to cash in to avoid any PSR sanctions.
Jacob Ramsey may be the next player to be sold to help make a dent in the £50m of debt the club has.
Ramsey is an academy product, and any sale would help balance the books as pure profit, in a move that has become more common.
Emery will want to get his business done early as he targets returning to the Champions League in 2026-27.
