Aston Villa news round-up: Monchi ‘to walk out’ as Rogers announcement made
Aston Villa could be set for a number of high-profile exits before the summer ends.
It already looks likely to be a frustrating few months in B6 as PSR problems look destined to impact Nassef Sawiris and Co. moving forward.
This hasn’t stopped a number of transfer rumours from swirling around Villa Park, as Unai Emery looks to keep hold of his best players for the new season.
It may be that the Spaniard parts ways with many faces in the Midlands, with Monchi potentially on his way out ahead of the new Premier League season.
With that in mind, Villa News has rounded up all the news from 19 June.

Aston Villa make approach to sign Javi Guerra
The Villans are looking to kickstart a busy few months despite not yet having made a signing at this stage of the window.
This could be set to change with the addition of versatile Valencia midfielder Guerra, who could be available for £21.2million this summer [Calciomercato, 16 June].
The B6 club are understood to have made an approach for the 22-year-old alongside European giants Atletico Madrid and AC Milan.
Now there is a decision on the hands of the Villa Park hierarchy as to whether they want to enter into a bidding war or move on to other targets.

Aston Villa speak out amid Morgan Rogers announcement
It is fair to say that 22-year-old has been one of the best players in the Villa squad since signing from Middlesbrough.
This has seen the attacking midfielder earn a call up to the senior England national team, and now has been shortlisted in this year’s top six for the PFA Young Player of the Year award.

Assists | 13 |
Aston Villa announced this Rogers news in a statement on Thursday (19 June), with the winner of the award to be announced at a ceremony on 19 August.
Rogers comes up against Liam Delap (previously Ipswich Town, now Chelsea), Dean Huijsen (Bournemouth, now Real Madrid), Milos Kerkez (Bournemouth), Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri (both Arsenal) as contenders for the award.
The official Villa X account shared a message to confirm this nomination, saying: “Cold as ice.
“We are delighted to confirm that Morgan Rogers has been shortlisted in this year’s Top Six for PFA Young Player of the Year.”
Monchi could walk out on Aston Villa
The Spaniard has already been linked with a departure from Villa Park, with Fenerbahçe are contemplating a move for Monchi this summer [GiveMeSport, 16 June].
With that being said, another move could now be on the cards with a potential homecoming now looking possible before the season begins.
This comes as Sevilla’s current president, José María del Nido Carrasco, is facing calls to depart with a potential takeover process underway [ABC Sevilla, 19 June].
Former board member Antonio Lappi and Fede Quintero are in contention to buy the LaLiga club in the coming months.
If they are to complete this purchase, they are understood to have promised to provide the funds to bring Monchi back to Sevilla if they gain power.
This could see the Villa president of football operations depart B6, but that move all hinges on a takeover at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium.
