Aston Villa in pole position to sign Mason Mount as Man United agreement reached
Mason Mount could soon be on his way to Aston Villa.
The England international joined Manchester United in the summer of 2023 but has struggled with injury and form when fit and available.
This could see Ruben Amorim look to move the 26-year-old on in the summer as an Old Trafford revolution looks set to begin this summer.
It appears that Unai Emery will be at the front of the queue to land Mount’s signature, as an agreement was reached for the Red Devils.

Throughout his time at Chelsea, the attacking midfielder proved his class and went on to win a Champions League medal with his boyhood club.
Since making the move up North, the Englishman has failed to truly showcase his talents due to a number of fitness concerns in the past two years.

As a result, a summer exit could be on the cards for the ex-Derby County loanee as United look to cut ties after their £55m outlay two years ago.
This could see the Villans swoop in to take advantage after being named as joint favourites at 6/1 to sign Mount alongside West Ham [Paddy Power, 13 June].

Mount could represent coup for Aston Villa
Villa have excellent depth in the attacking midfield position and could look to add to that in the upcoming window.
With Marco Asensio returning to PSG, Emery may be keen to find an alternative, and could do so with the United midfielder.
In his days at Stamford Bridge, the 26-year-old was excellent at times and could easily rediscover that form at Villa Park next campaign.
It would certainly be interesting to see what that would mean for the future of Jacob Ramsey, who has already been linked with an exit this summer.
