Garnacho to Aston Villa odds plummet amid bombshell Man United update
Aston Villa are unlikely to sign Marcus Rashford following his loan spell from Manchester United, but teammate Alejandro Garnacho may yet make the move to Villa Park.
Rashford arrived on loan in January after a fallout with Ruben Amorim, but had a fairly inconsistent spell before missing the final few weeks of the season with injury.
Aston Villa face a tough financial situation this season, which will likely prevent the permanent signing of Rashford given his wages, but they are looking for a new winger.
After freezing out Rashford, Man United have also told Garnacho to find a new club, and this could now be Villa.

Garnacho to Villa odds shorten amid transfer interest
It has been reported that Villa are interested in signing Garnacho from Man United, but they will face competition from Chelsea, Bayer Leverkusen, Atletico Madrid and Napoli.
Garnacho has been given a £70million price tag, which could make a move to Villa unlikely, but bookmakers now believe a deal is possible.
2024/25 | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
Alejandro Garnacho | 36 | 6 | 2 |
As per Unibet (12 June), the odds of Garnacho joining Villa have dropped from 10/1 to 8/1, meaning that while it is still believed to be an outside chance, the likelihood of a deal has increased since Villa’s interest was confirmed.
This coincides with the bombshell update that he is set to leave Old Trafford this summer.
The Argentinian scored six times in 36 Premier League appearances in a disappointing campaign, but given that he is still just 20, he may be viewed as someone with room to improve.

Villa may not be able to afford Garnacho this summer
Given his price tag, it seems highly unlikely that Villa could afford to buy Garnacho on a permanent transfer this summer, even if big sales take place.
If Man United agree to a loan deal, then Garnacho moving to Villa Park is entirely plausible, but with Champions League sides interested, this would still be a long shot.
In a scenario where Villa raise enough through sales that they can afford a £70m transfer, they may prioritise other areas, or more reliable players than the Man United youngster.
Unai Emery may want a new winger, but he will likely have to focus on other targets rather than heavily pursuing Garnacho as it stands.
