Sky Sports Germany drops big Nedeljkovic exit update at Aston Villa
An update has emerged in the transfer saga between Aston Villa’s Kosta Nedeljkovic and RB Leipzig.
The defender has been on loan with the German side since February, after struggling for game time at Villa.
Nedeljkovic made 10 appearances for Leipzig, growing into the side as the season progressed.
Now, a development on the Bundesliga club’s stance regarding a permanent deal for Nedeljkovic has been issued.

RB Leipzig view on Kosta Nedeljkovic deal revealed
According to Philipp Hinze of Sky Germany, RB Leipzig are taking their time deciding whether to buy the Serbian or not. A purchase option of £8.8million is valid until June.
Leipzig have prioritised other areas of the squad after missing out on European football.
The report states that the German side are huge admirers of the defender but need to fully assess their resources before making a decision over a permanent transfer.
Leipzig finished only six points behind Dortmund in fourth but will ultimately have to settle for domestic football only next term.
Hinze adds that Nedeljkovic “feels very comfortable” in Leipzig.
Aston Villa will hope to offload Kosta Nedeljkovic
A summer of change could be on the horizon for Villa, with stars such as Emiliano Martinez, Morgan Rogers, and Ollie Watkins all linked with potential moves away.
Coupled with Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio returning to their respective parent clubs following loan spells at Villa Park, there could be a major shake-up in B6 next term.
As the club look to raise as many funds as possible to splash this summer, selling Nedeljkovic seems like a necessary evil.
The 19-year-old enjoys a large potential, and Unai Emery began the season trusting the full-back, deploying him to cover for Matty Cash in the early stages of the campaign.
However, Nedeljkovic was allowed to join Die Roten Bullen in the winter, which shows that Villa’s boss doesn’t regard the defender as an important element of his team.
Therefore, if the club sniff an opportunity to offload the teenager for a healthy fee, the chances are they will take it.
Nedeljkovic was brought to Villa Park in January 2024 for a reported fee of £7.75 million, according to Onefootball, so would be set to make a decent profit on their investment if Leipzig look to bring the defender back to the Red Bull Arena this summer.
