‘Lucas Digne exit to be confirmed at Aston Villa’ as transfer suitors emerge
Lucas Digne may have played his final game for Aston Villa as the summer looms in B6.
The France international has been an ever-present for the Villans since signing from Everton for a sizable fee back in January 2022.
This has seen the 31-year-old play a key role in a number of huge moments at Villa Park, none more so than qualifying for the Champions League.
With that being said, an exit in the upcoming window could be on the cards for Digne as potential suitors emerge.

Digne may be finished at Aston Villa
There is no doubt that the former Barcelona man has technical ability and experience, which make him an excellent member of the squad in the Midlands.
Despite this, it looks as if the Frenchman is going to be a second-string option at best next season after the rise of Ian Maatsen throughout the season.

The Netherlands international represents a much younger option, with plenty of potential and attacking threat down the left flank.
This in itself could be enough for Digne to look for departure options ahead of the summer, but it now appears that Villa could be seeking out alternatives of their own.
L’Equipe reported on 28 May that the Villans have emerged as suitors for Stade Rennais full-back Adrien Truffert alongside Marseille.
The 23-year-old has just one year remaining on his contract in Ligue 1, with Villa potentially able to utilise this to secure a cut-price deal.
If the one-cap France international is to make a move to link up with Unai Emery, it could prove to be the end of the line for Digne.
Truffert could replace Digne at Aston Villa
It is fair to say that there would be little need for three senior left-backs in a squad, especially three internationals.
Not one of these options would want to be on the bench regularly, and as a result, the sale of the eldest option could prove to make sense.
After missing out on the Champions League, sales of players with sizable wages could be necessary, even with someone like Marcus Rashford moving on.
Digne could prove to be one name whose sale could benefit the B6 club, especially if a bargain swoop for Truffert at Rennes could replace him.
