Everton now favourites to sign Grealish, surge of bets made amid Aston Villa hero news
Everton have now emerged as favourites to sign former Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish.
It is clear that the 29-year-old is out of favour at Manchester City despite signing under Pep Guardiola for what was an English record at the time.
This has come as a bitter blow to everyone associated with Villa Park, given how well-loved the England international was in his time in the Midlands.
It now looks as if Grealish is ready for a summer move away from the Etihad with Everton emerging as the front runners ahead of the upcoming window.

Grealish could be set for Everton switch
It feels as if the attacking midfielder is in need of a drastic change to help benefit his career, especially as he approaches 30.
This comes after falling out of favour with Guardiola and being left on the bench as the Citizens fell to defeat in the FA Cup final against Crystal Palace.
This sums up where the former Villa man sits in the pecking order at the Etihad, with a summer move feeling increasingly likely as it stands.
Now, Everton have emerged as the favourite club to sign the Englishman at 4/1 with BetVictor (28 May) as the summer window looms.
Just hours before this drop in odds, Grealish’s move to the blue side of Merseyside came in at 25/1, pointing towards an increase in bets being made.
It is fair to say that former Arsenal man Perry Groves believes this would be good for his career despite other links to the likes of Tottenham and Chelsea.
Speaking on talkSPORT (27 May, 02:57pm), he said: “Yeah, absolutely and, as you say, going into Bramley-Moore Dock big new stadium. He would be like the marquee signing, and I think he thrives on that.”

Grealish return to Aston Villa looking unlikely
Many Villa fans would love to see the 29-year-old return, if he could return to the form that he had while at his B6 best.
This saw him become an England international and one of the most exciting players in the entire Premier League while in claret and blue, in a similar vein to Morgan Rogers now.

That has completely changed under Guardiola, as Grealish has become nothing but a system player and has been increasingly frustrating to watch.
As a result, a move to Everton could prove to make sense, especially with a move to their new multi-million pound arena.
Although a move to Villa Park to link up with Unai Emery may have been an excellent option, it appears that a switch to Merseyside is in the pipeline.
