Tim Sherwood shares £200m Premier League blunder against Aston Villa
Tim Sherwood has shared his instant reaction after the major Aston Villa controversy in the Manchester United clash on Sunday.
The Villans have missed out on Champions League football by goal difference after falling to defeat at Old Trafford once again.
An Amad Diallo header was enough to secure three points before Christian Eriksen made it two from the penalty spot after an Ian Maatsen foul.
Things could have been so different for the B6 club in the second half as Sherwood reacted in stunning fashion to a major incident in M16.

Sherwood blasts Premier League after Aston Villa controversy
On a day when Emi Martinez was sent off in crazy fashion, it was always going to be an extremely difficult task for the away side.
It had looked as if Villa had weathered the storm as chances for the likes of Rasmus Hojlund and Casemiro came and went.

Expected goals | 2.86 | 0.40 |

Then it had appeared that Villa had miraculously taken the lead despite suffering for large spells of the game as Morgan Rogers tapped into an empty net.
The England international looked to have kicked the ball away from United keeper Altay Bayindir before scoring.
This was then ruled out by referee Thomas Bramall, who had blown his whistle before the ball had hit the net at Old Trafford.
The score went back to 0-0, and the Reds ultimately went on to win, and as a result, Emery and everyone associated with Aston Villa has every right to be fuming.
This is about more than the result, it leaves Villa in the Europa League rather than the Champions League, leaving them massively out of pocket.
This wasn’t lost on former boss Sherwood on Sky Sports News (25 May, 5:35pm) who said: “That’s only £200m,” referring to the money lost in B6 ahead of the new season.
Aston Villa right to rage after Manchester United loss
There is no doubt that Villa were dreadful in such a huge game where a single point would have seen them claim a Champions League place.
As a result, being dealt such a hammerblow by the referee with such a trigger-happy moment of poor officiating just stings even more.
Emery is right to be fuming, but as John McGinn said after the game, it was ultimately Manchester United who deserved to win the football match.
Not that any Villa fan will be thinking that way right now.
