Aston Villa thank goalkeeper at awards night as Villa Park exit now confirmed
Aston Villa have been honouring their players during their end of season awards ceremony at Villa Park.
Youri Tielemans has been recognised for his fine season, picking up the Players’ Player of the Season and Supporters’ Player of the Season awards.
Elsewhere, John McGinn scooped the Goal of the Season award for his superb solo goal against PSG in the Champions League.
There was also a special mention for one player who is set to depart the West Midlands club.

Robin Olsen recognised for services to Villa
While it was time to celebrate at the end of season awards, Villa still have work to do.
The Villans currently sit sixth in the Premier League table but need a top-five finish to secure Champions League football.
They travel to Man United on the final day of the season and must hope other results go their way.
Regardless of what happens, though, it has been a season to remember at Villa Park, and the players deserve their recognition.
It appears that Emi Martinez will leave the West Midlands side after he waved goodbye to supporters after the previous home game.
However, it was not the Argentine who was awarded during the ceremony, but rather his teammate Robin Olsen.

The Swede was recognised for his services to the claret and blue cause during Wednesday’s (21 May) ceremony.
It has been confirmed that the 35-year-old will depart the West Midlands club this summer when his contract expires.

Aston Villa must address goalkeeper void
With Olsen’s departure confirmed and Martinez’s impending, Emery must sign goalkeepers.
While the Swede’s exit was expected, losing their long-serving number one will be a bitter blow.
Reports suggest that the World Cup winner could be heading to Saudi Arabia, where there is serious interest.
However, Villa are well placed to bring in a quality replacement and will invest in the summer window.
The Villans have been watching Espanyol’s shot-stopper Joan Garcia, 24, as a possible replacement for Martinez.
Garcia has started every single one of the Spanish outfit’s La Liga games this season and has been hailed for his aerial ability.
While waving goodbye to Martinez will be emotional, the Villa Park club seem to be in safe hands.
