Galatasaray ready Aston Villa meeting after new Emi Martinez transfer twist
Emi Martinez is expected to leave Aston Villa at the end of the season.
The goalkeeper has done plenty for the Villans during his tenure in the Midlands, and has continued to contribute this season too.
However, at 32-years-old and having struggled in some games this season, it seems as though the end of the road is approaching at Aston Villa this summer.
Unsurprisingly, though, there is plenty of interest in the goalkeeper from elsewhere and a choice of deals that could be picked from this summer.

Galatasaray joining race for Martinez
Martinez has made 36 Premier League appearances this season, playing Champions League football on top of that, showing he still has plenty left in him.
As Unai Emery looks to create a side that is able to be at the highest levels throughout the season, continuing progress on the pitch, some fresh faces are needed.
Luckily, though, demand is high for the Argentinian with Saudi Arabian interest in the goalkeeper, as well as Manchester United making an offer.
It has now been reported that Galatasaray are keen on his services and will be quick to join the race as they look for a replacement for Fernando Muslera, who is expected to leave the Turkish outlet.
According to Turkish daily Takvim [via A Spor], Galatasaray are set to hold a meeting with Villa in the coming days and submit an offer for Martinez.
The report states that the Turkish giants are relying on their qualification in the Champions League to convince the goalkeeper to join them.
Furthermore, with several South American players already in the side, there is no reason for communication issues to be a worry, which should put any reservations to rest.

Galatasaray could be a good move for Martinez
A move to Saudi Arabia could, of course, be an attractive one given the amount of money there is to be made.
However, Martinez is still a good player and can play regularly at a good standard, so a move to Galatasaray could be a great opportunity.
Compeition | Appearances | Goals Conceded | Clean Sheets |
Premier League | 36 | 45 | 8 |
Champions League | 12 | 12 | 5 |
It seems as though the Turkish outfit are keen to make him the number one choice, and with Champions League football on the table, the opportunities are surely brighter.
As long as Villa get the price they feel they are owed for Martinez, they will surely be happy to wave him off with good wishes and therefore, the 32-year-old has to choose what he wants for his immediate future.
