Kevin De Bruyne next club: Major Aston Villa transfer update emerges

Aston Villa are continuing to monitor Kevin De Bruyne as he assesses his options at Manchester City.

The Belgium international looks set to be forced out of the Etihad when his contract comes to an end at the end of the campaign.

As a result, there is plenty of interest in his signature with Unai Emery and Co. being linked with an approach in recent weeks.

The Villans have now learned where the 33-year-old sees his future ahead of what could prove to be a busy summer transfer window.

De Bruyne update emerges in Saudi Arabia

The attacking midfielder would undoubtedly represent a real coup for the B6 club despite his age and chequered injury record this campaign.

The use of his experience around Bodymoor Heath could be priceless for the likes of Morgan Rogers and Jacob Ramsey in their development.

With that being said, there is likely to be an increasing number of sides showing interest in De Bruyne alongside Villa this summer.

This has seen many links to Saudi Arabia and the MLS arise, but the iPaper reported on 8 May that the Belgian wants to remain in Europe.

Villa are among a number of clubs monitoring the City man, but it looks as if Napoli could be his most likely destination moving into the summer.

This comes as the Serie A side looks destined to win the title and earn Champions League qualification alongside the chance to link up with Romelu Lukaku in Naples.

Aston Villa still in race for De Bruyne

There is still every chance that the B6 club can achieve a spot in the top five this season and finish with a place in Europe’s elite competition.

A clash against Bournemouth at the Vitality awaits as Emery looks to build a winning run with just three games remaining in the campaign.

If this can be secured, there is every chance that De Bruyne could be attracted to a Villa Park switch when he ultimately leaves the Sky Blues.

It will be interesting to see what the future has in store for the midfielder, but it does appear that a Saudi or American move are off the cards.
