Aston Villa line up £21m+ Boyomo deal as Blackburn payments emerge
Aston Villa are hoping to look forward to another season of European football next season, with the race for a top-five finish firmly on.
Unai Emery has been shown the importance of squad depth this season, with his winter window signings helping to lift his side, juggling Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup football.
The levels at which Emery can aim next season will no doubt be dictated by his side’s finish in the Premier League, as European football would significantly boost the targets on their list.
However, the boss has been identifying potential new signings ahead of the window, with Enzo Boyomo one man on the list.

Boyomo price named for Aston Villa
Boyomo has had a good season in La Liga with Osasuna this season and at just 23-years-old, it’s no surprise that the boss is eyeing him as a potential young target for summer.
Regardless of whether or not Villa finish in the top five of the Premier League next season, there will be another big push in the West Midlands next term in the hope of further success.
Therefore, Emery will be looking to bring in players who are ready to produce the required levels in order to succeed in this mission.
According to Mike McGrath (1 May), Emery has admired Boyomo for some time, although he will be waiting until the end of the season to make a final decision and finalise transfer plans.
Should Villa want to add his services to the squad, the report states that a £21million buyout clause will have to be met in order to strike a deal.
Having come up through the Blackburn Rovers academy before embarking on his professional career, the Championship side would be set to receive solidarity payments in further moves for the centre-back, meaning Villa would also have to be prepared to factor that into their plans.
Boyomo could be good addition for Aston Villa
Villa could do with some defensive reinforcements going into next season and therefore, taking a youngster who is already playing regularly in La Liga could be a good move.

Emery has seemingly shown his ability to develop players at Villa Park throughout this season, which would make this move an exciting prospect for the player too.
Monchi’s role at Villa Park has led to Villa recruiting multiple players from Spain’s top flight already and his links to his home country is seemingly a boost for his current side in the transfer market.
With European football very much the focus in the West Midlands next term, having Boyomo in the ranks, who has assisted Osasuna in their quest for a European place this season, could be the type of addition that is needed to achieve those aims.
Aston Villa would be able to afford this deal and the additional payments will surely not be enough to deter the club at this stage.
