Aston Villa set to sign Sverre Nypan as contract details emerge already
Aston Villa are closing in on their first signing of the summer as they prepare for next season.
The Villans are currently pushing for a top-five finish in the Premier League, while they also had a tremendous European campaign where they reached the quarter-final stage of the Champions League.
Unai Emery may also bring some silverware to Villa Park, too, with the Midlands club still in the FA Cup, where they will face Crystal Palace in the semi-finals at Wembley Stadium on Saturday (26 April).
However, the Spaniard isn’t resting on the success he’s managed so far during his time in the Villa Park dugout, as he’s already looking toward next season and how he can improve the squad.

Aston Villa are pushing to sign an impressive young talent
While there is a lot of focus right now on whether or not Villa will turn the loan deals for Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio into permanent stays, behind the scenes, the club is focused on a different target.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Villans are closing in on an agreement to sign Norwegian wonderkid Sverre Nypan, with personal terms currently being discussed.

The contract is believed to be almost done, with the final details currently being put together, which will then be followed by club talks with Rosenborg.
The Premier League outfit is confident of getting the deal over the line for the midfielder, in what would be Villa’s first signing of the summer.
The 18-year-old is an impressive young talent who has caught the eye of various top teams, and signing him would be seen as a real coup.
Aston Villa are beating out the competition
Villa are not the only top European team attempting to sign Nypan this summer, as their Premier League rivals Arsenal are also monitoring his development.
The fact that Villa are now actively competing with the Gunners for transfers is a sign of where the team has progressed to under Emery, and they’re currently slate to beat Mikel Arteta to his signature.
