Luke Littler reacts to new Marcus Rashford message at Aston Villa

Marcus Rashford led the line for Aston Villa once more as Unai Emery’s men beat Southampton 3-0 on Saturday.

Emery’s side experienced a bizarre afternoon as Marco Asensio was twice denied from the penalty spot by Southampton shot-stopper Aaron Ramsdale.

But Villa raced to a 3-0 victory over the already relegated Saints, thanks to strikes from Ollie Watkins, Donyell Malen, and John McGinn.

Emery’s men will now turn their attention back to the Champions League, where they are vying to overturn a 3-1 deficit to PSG in the quarter-finals.

Villa will need their best performance of the season to beat PSG

Emery’s men are enjoying yet another successful Premier League season and are just one point behind fifth-place Manchester City in their quest to land Champions League football yet again.

But after finishing in the top four last season, the West Midlands giants are keen to lift silverware this season, while a key opportunity rests in the Champions League.

Villa have done exceptionally well to reach the last eight stage, but they will still be determined to keep their European adventure going and reach the semi-finals.

However, as demonstrated when they beat Emery’s side 3-1 in Paris on 9 April, Ligue 1 Champions PSG are a strong outfit who are capable of winning the Champions League.

To beat the French giants this time around, Villa will have to be at their very best on Tuesday as they look to recover from last week’s defeat and navigate their pathway to the last four.

Rashford has downed the Parisians before, now it is time to do it again.
