Brighton v Aston Villa result predicted by supercomputer
Aston Villa resume their pursuit for a top-five Premier League finish as they travel to Brighton on Wednesday.
Unai Emery’s side dismantled Preston North End 3-0 in the FA Cup quarter-finals thanks to Marcus Rashford’s brace.
The Villans now shift their attention to the Premier League as they travel to the Amex Stadium on April 2 to face a spirited Brighton side who are unbeaten in their last five league games.
Villa are chasing a top-four finish and are separated by just four points from fourth-placed Chelsea. Emery’s side are within reach of European football for next season and an away win at Brighton will help in their season aspirations.

Aston Villa face tough Brighton test
Emery’s side enter the game on the back of a comprehensive FA Cup win as the Midlands side extended their unbeaten run to six matches in all competitions.
Fabian Hurzeler’s side are looking strong as they too are in the hunt for European football. They currently sit two points above Villa and are in seventh place in the league table.

With an exciting clash on the cards, Opta’s supercomputer has predicted the result of the match. Brighton are expected to win the game with the supercomputer giving the Seagulls a 45 per cent chance of picking up all three points at home.
The Claret and Blue are predicted to drop three points at The Amex as they have only a 30 per cent chance of winning the game. The supercomputer predicts an 18 per cent chance of both sides sharing the spoils.

FA Cup win a real possibility
Villa advanced to the semi-finals and are set to face Crystal Palace at Wembley. Villa will go into the game as favourites to win, especially given their quality on paper.
The Villans are active in three competitions and have a solid chance of winning a trophy. While the UEFA Champions League victory may be difficult given that Barcelona, Real Madrid and PSG are still in the competition, Villa are strong contenders to win the FA Cup.
Out of the final four – Manchester City, Nottingham Forest, Palace and Villa – Emery’s side are arguably the second-best team, only to be eclipsed by Pep Guardiola’s City. However, Man City have faltered this term and Villa could get the better of the Mancunian side if both sides meet in the finals.
