‘Malen to demand exit already’ as £33m transfer update emerges at Aston Villa
Donyell Malen has struggled for regular minutes at Aston Villa since signing from Borussia Dortmund.
The Netherlands international signed for £19million during the winter window but has gone on to make just two starts in all competitions under Unai Emery.
There have been some flashes of positivity from the 26-year-old who made two appearances with the Oranje during the international break.
With that being said, the versatile forward is likely to be fuming and assessing a quick exit after a £33m development at Villa Park.

Malen could assess Aston Villa exit in the summer
The former PSV man was brought in as an attacking option who could play on the flank but also as an alternative striker to Ollie Watkins.
Unfortunately for the Dutchman, he has fallen victim to the successes of loan signings Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio who have caught the eye massively.
Name | Games played | Goals | Assists |
Donyell Malen | 7 | 0 | 0 |
Marcus Rashford | 9 | 0 | 4 |
Marco Asensio | 8 | 7 | 0 |
The addition of this duo on a permanent basis could represent the end for Malen, especially if the Villans realise their interest in Dango Outtara.
A move for versatile Bournemouth attacker is being eyed in B6 ahead of the summer transfer window [CaughtOffside].
The Cherries are looking for a fee in the region of £33million for the Burkina Faso international, two years after signing him from Lorient.
A deal may prove to be difficult if that valuation isn’t matched, as his current deal has three years remaining, placing the South Coast side in an excellent position for negotiations.
Newcastle, AC Milan, and Napoli are also showing an interest in the 23-year-old’s signature who would add some excellent squad depth in forward areas at Villa Park.
With that being said, if Monchi and Co. can push a deal over the line, it is likely to spell bad news for Malen, despite him only signing two months ago.

Malen could make way for Ouattara at Aston Villa
It hasn’t quite worked out for Malen in the West Midlands but he still does have a chance to prove himself before the end of the campaign.
There are plenty of huge games coming up, particularly against Preston North End with a place at Wembley on the line.
The Dutchman can’t play against PSG in the Champions League, which certainly won’t help his attitude towards staying put at Villa.
If Ouattara is to come in and his lack of minutes is to continue, it feels unlikely that Malen will stick around B6 for much longer.
