Morgan Rogers sends message as season-ending surgery confirmed
Morgan Rogers has arguably been the most important player at Aston Villa this campaign.
The England international has gone from strength to strength under Unai Emery since signing from Middlesbrough in January 2024.
This has seen the attacking midfielder contribute to 19 goals this campaign, including five in the Champion League.
Now the 22-year-old has offered his reaction after a season-ending injury was confirmed away from Villa Park on Tuesday (25 March).

Rogers reacts to Omari Kellyman injury at Chelsea
It was a busy summer transfer window in B6 before the campaign kicked off as PSR became an important factor for Monchi to deal with.
This saw Douglas Luiz depart for Juventus in a player-plus-cash swap deal while a deal was also completed with Chelsea.
Ian Maatsen came in from Stamford Bridge after an excellent loan spell with Borussia Dortmund which saw him play in a Champions League final.
As part of a deal for the Netherlands international, Kellyman made the switch to West London to join Chelsea where he has failed to play a single Premier League minute.
Despite this, the 19-year-old has picked up a season-ending injury for the academy side at Stamford Bridge, which required surgery and will rule him out for an extended period.
Taking to Instagram (25 March) to confirm the news, the teenager said: “Successful surgery road to recovery starts now.”
Replying to his former teammate, Rogers commented a heart emoji to offer his support to the young attacking midfielder.
Aston Villa need to maintain Rogers fitness
There is no doubt that the former Manchester City youngster a superb young player and is only showing signs of getting better.
Under Emery, his progression has been excellent and has resulted in multiple England call-ups for Rogers.

Goal involvements | 11 |
Chances created | 38 |
Dribbles completed | 52 |

With that being said, there is a lot of importance being placed on his shoulders, which will rely on him maintaining fitness until the end of the season.
The 22-year-old is proof of how excellent a player can become if they work under Emery and learn from him.
Kellyman may regret not being able to take up this opportunity, especially after picking up such a long-term injury at this early stage of his career.
