Boubacar Kamara ‘will be devastated’ after £35m Aston Villa transfer development
Boubacar Kamara is unlikely to be pleased after Aston Villa were linked with a new midfielder ahead of the summer transfer window.
As for now, the focus for Aston Villa will be entirely on the Champions League; progressing in the current competition but also securing qualification for the new season.
Only then will Unai Emery‘s side ramp up the efforts to plan for the summer transfer window, which is likely to be a busy one.
The Villans will already have a number of decisions to make in the coming months, though they may have just found a new one after they were linked with a move for a Premier League midfielder.

Tottenham transfer on the cards for Aston Villa
Kamara has had a mixed campaign for Aston Villa, having started just 13 Premier League encounters so far this season, with 17 appearances in total.
Villa have a number of quality midfielders on their books, and according to a report from TEAMtalk (26 March), they are keen on adding Tottenham’s Yves Bissouma to their ranks.
Aston Villa | Appearances | Pass accuracy | Duels won | Tackles won |
Boubacar Kamara | 17 | 90% | 83 | 15 |
Bissouma himself has had an indifferent campaign with Spurs, who are said to be happy to offload the midfielder for a fee in the region of £35million.
If that deal is pursued, game time will become even more limited for Kamara, who will be left wondering where his future lies.

Aston Villa need their focus elsewhere
While it is always important to plan in advance for the summer window, the main focus has to be on the here and now if Villa are to achieve success this season.
Their Champions League run has impressed supporters, but any distractions will make it harder for them to progress, while also having implications in the Premier League.
For now, any immediate transfer decisions need to be put on hold, with Emery maintaining full focus on what happens on the pitch.
