Ferguson reacts to Marcus Rashford transfer at Aston Villa
Aston Villa have completed a brilliant signing with Marcus Rashford joining on loan from Manchester United, Barry Ferguson says.
The ex-Scottish midfielder believes the Villans have acquired a top player in the 27-year-old until the end of the season.
Ferguson expects the England international to make an impact at the Lions despite his recent struggles at the Red Devils under Ruben Amorim.
Speaking on the Go Radio Football Show (3 February), the former Rangers star said: “I think it’s a brilliant signing.
“I think you will now see the best of Rashford. He’s got outstanding ability. It’s just not working at Man United for a number of reasons. It’s a top signing. I believe he’s a top player. He’ll go and blast it at Villa.”

The Colombian striker was a key player for Unai Emery as he consistently found the back of the net when given the opportunity.
At the start of the season, the 21-year-old had established himself as a super-sub before getting regular minutes in the starting lineup.
Marco Asensio also completed a deadline-day move to Villa Park, boosting Emery’s prospects going into the business end of the season as the Lions look to compete on all fronts.
