Aston Villa in advanced talks to sign Kevin Danso next amid Wolves news
Aston Villa are in advanced talks to sign Kevin Danso from Lens, according to Fabrice Hawkins.
The French journalist reported on 31 January that the Villans have met with the 26-year-old’s camp to hold talks over a potential move to B6.
Wolves are also in the running to sign the Austria international alongside Ligue 1 outfit Stade Rennes.
If Unai Emery’s side don’t sign the former Southampton loanee, a loan deal to bring in Chelsea defender Axel Disasi is the backup plan.

The Villans are in desperate need of a centre-back right now after selling Diego Carlos to Fenerbache before Tyrone Mings picked up an injury.
This forced Boubacar Kamara to start in the back line against Celtic but the signing of the Lens defender could solve a problem for Emery and Co.
Danso has played a key role for the French side who have done well in recent years, qualifying for the Champions League two seasons ago was their crowning achievement.
Now the Austrian could be in line to return to Europe’s elite competition with Villa if he opts to turn down a switch to Wolves this winter.
In other Aston Villa news, an approach has been made for Marco Asensio who is ready for a transfer.
