Aston Villa star hits out at fan on social media after exit sealed
Lamare Bogarde has hit out at an Aston Villa fan on social media after Diego Carlos confirmed his exit.
The Brazilian departed Villa Park to join Fenerbache on Thursday (23 January) in a deal worth £10million [Sky Sports].
This deal leaves the Villans with just two fit senior centre backs with Sil Swinkels and Bogarde potential options for Unai Emery moving forward.
One fan questioned this on X (23 January) as they said: “Got to have a replacement lined up surely can’t go into the back end of the season with Bogarde as our backup centre back.”
The Villa youngster hit back by saying: “You love saying my name don’t you.”

The Dutchman has featured sparingly this campaign, playing eight times in all competitions, most recently against Monaco in the Champions League.
Bogarde has made appearances as a midfielder and a right-back at points this season but also has the versatility to start in the heart of defence.
It is clear that certain fans aren’t pleased with this prospect after Carlos’ departure but with Loic Bade linked with a Villa Park switch [Tom Collomosse], there is every chance a new option comes in this winter.
Regardless of this, Emery is unlikely to be pleased with the 21-year-old hitting out at fans on social media which doesn’t paint him in the most professional light.
