Emery to axe Jacob Ramsey in two changes – Aston Villa predicted XI v Arsenal

Unai Emery could axe Jacob Ramsey for Aston Villa in two changes to the starting XI for the trip to face Arsenal.

The England under-21 international could drop to the bench alongside Lucas Digne after both coming into the side against Everton on Wednesday (15 January).

This could see the Spanish head coach welcome Leon Bailey and Ian Maatsen back into the starting 11 against the Gunners on Saturday (18 January).

After a win at Goodison Park, Emery may keep a similar look to the Villans side with a view to securing another three points at the Emirates.

Emi Martinez was forced into just two saves but was able to prevent 0.91 expected goals [FotMob] which marked his return in superb fashion.

Matty Cash, Ezri Konsa and Tyrone Mings could maintain their starting roles while Digne could be axed after failing to register a successful cross at Goodison. Maatsen could come back in to add an attacking force against Arsenal after creating one chance against West Ham in his last appearance.

The midfield could be set to stay the same with Amadou Onana and Boubacar Kamara starting at the base of midfield with the latter winning 10 duels and 100 per cent of tackles against the Toffes.

Youri Tielemans and Morgan Rogers could also maintain their spots in the team with the England international grabbing an assist while also maintaining a 100 per cent shot accuracy.
