Donyell Malen is not eligible for the Aston Villa clash against Everton on Wednesday, according to Matt Maher.
The Daily Star journalist reported via X that the Netherlands international won’t feature at Goodison Park after signing for the Villans on Tuesday (14 January).
The 25-year-old is ineligible for the Premier League fixture against the Toffees but should be involved against Arsenal on Saturday (18 January).

The versatile forward signed from Borussia Dortmund will likely become a regular fixture under Unai Emery after completing his move.
After losing Moussa Diaby in the summer, the Dutchman could represent the attacking option that has been needed at Villa Park this campaign.
It would have been exciting to see the former PSV star make his debut on Merseyside this midweek, but he will have to wait a bit longer to prove why Monchi and Co. brought him in.
It will be a blow for the Villans that the attacker can’t feature but it only builds the anticipation for his maiden showing in claret and blue.
The upcoming clash against Arsenal will likely represent his debut, which will be interesting given his links to the Gunners.
The former academy star at the Emirates will certainly have a point to prove in North London as he looks ahead to his first appearance in the Premier League.
