Donyell Malen transfer: Aston Villa finally reach total agreement, details left
Aston Villa have reached a total agreement to sign Donyell Malen, according to Florian Plettenberg.
The Sky Sports journalist reports on X (13 December) that the Villans have agreed on a £21million deal with £4.2m in add-ons for the Borussia Dortmund forward.
He states that only £2.5m of those add-ons are guaranteed and only small details are left to be clarified.
The Dutch international has made 21 appearances in all competitions so far this campaign, scoring five goals and notching one assist.
Aston Villa add to dangerous attack
Unai Emery has struggled to fit both Ollie Watkins and Paris Saint-Germain linked Jhon Duran into his starting line-up so far this season and now he is set to add another star-studded forward to his attack.
Malen finished the previous season with 15 goals and five assists in all competitions, so he is a very dangerous player if he can rediscover that type of form.
He will move to Villa Park seeking a starting berth after being forced to settle for a bit-part role for last season’s Champions League finalists.

The former PSV attacker is versatile and can play across the front line so his signing could also spell danger for the likes of Morgan Rogers and Leon Bailey.
The new addition will represent a boost in quality for the Villa Park side as he has regular Champions League experience, notching six goals and one assist in 31 matches in the competition.
Emery will now have another selection dilemma, one that most Premier League managers will be envious of as he seeks to secure another Champions League berth.
In other Aston Villa news, Ollie Watkins might be dropped for the trip to Everton on Wednesday.
