Aston Villa want to sign Paris Saint-Germain star, he is out of favour
Aston Villa want to sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo-Muani in the January transfer window, according to L’Equipe.
The French news outlet reported on 31 December that Kolo Muani is “out of favour” in Paris and Villa could make a winter swoop with Jhon Duran potentially becoming unsettled.
PSG are holding out for a figure of £49.7m with Tottenham and Manchester United also keeping tabs.
Villa could be in the market for a new striker having also previously been linked with Atalanta striker Mateo Retegui (CaughtOffside).
Kolo Muani could be a gamechanger for Aston Villa
Despite not hitting the heights many had expected for him at PSG, Kolo Muani is a player with immense ability who just needs a new home for that to be unlocked and Villa could provide that.
Both Duran and Ollie Watkins have impressed for the Villans but Kolo Muani’s ability to play in several attacking roles could be a factor behind the interest and with Emi Buendia potentially on his way out (Jacob Tanswell), they may need an extra option.
Despite a slight fall off in recent weeks, the Villans still have an excellent opportunity of having another successful season with Champions League qualification in sight and quality in depth will be vital to maintaining that charge.

Given the high price tag, Villa may look elsewhere for reinforcements but his addition would be a massive show of ambition with potential to take them to the next level.
All eyes will be on the inevitably hectic January transfer window as rumours persist throughout the month.
In other Aston Villa news, Gabby Agbonlahor was fuming at the news that emerged around Duran.
