Jaden Philogene could face Aston Villa exit already amid loan development

Jaden Philogene’s spell at Aston Villa could be cut short if Louie Barry returns early from his loan at Stockport County.

The England Under-21s international rejoined the Villans in the summer from Hull City and is yet to make a splash back in B6.

The winger performed well in the 1-0 Champions League win against Bayern Munich but since then has struggled to find his feet in the Premier League.

With the chance of Barry returning to Villa Park, the 22-year-old could be fearful for his future with the Villans.

Villa have one of the most exciting talents coming through the EFL in their ranks and could be set to recall him from loan.

The 21-year-old has already scored 14 goals in 19 starts so far this season in League One which has piqued the interest of many Championship sides.

Sheffield United and Middlesbrough are among the sides showing an interest as Villa look to challenge the forward at a higher level [TEAMtalk].

If Unai Emery decides to welcome the winger back to his squad for the rest of the season or even gives him a chance in pre-season, this could damage Philogene’s chances of success.

There is no doubt that Villa supporters would like to see the loanee return to B6 and be given the chance to succeed for his boyhood club.

It may prove to be a step up too high to play in the Premier League right now but if Barry continues to perform how he is, the ex-Hull City winger will be looking over his shoulder.
