Unai Emery axes Diego Carlos in four changes – Aston Villa predicted XI v Crystal Palace
Unai Emery could drop Diego Carlos from the Aston Villa starting XI for the clash against Crystal Palace on Saturday after his mistake against Liverpool.
The Villans welcome Oliver Glasner’s side to Villa Park on Saturday (23 November) as they look to secure their first win in five games.
The Eagles travel to B6 less than a month after securing a 2-1 win in the League Cup against a heavily rotated Villa side.
This was the start of a four-game losing run which continued last time out at Anfield (9 November) after two penalty decisions were waved away controversially.
After this result against the Reds, Emery may be keen to make changes to his side with some being enforced due to injuries suffered during the international break.

The Spaniard may be able to welcome Matty Cash back into the back line to replace Carlos who made an error leading to a goal while also keeping up a long ball success rate of just 25 per cent on Merseyside. The rest of the backline could stay the same with Lucas Digne set to join Pau Torres and Ezri Konsa at the back despite an injury scare with England.
Amadou Onana and Jacob Ramsey to miss Aston Villa clash v Crystal Palace
Moving into the midfield, two changes could be enforced on the Villans with Amadou Onana and Jacob Ramsey suffering injuries which may rule them out.
This could see John McGinn return to the starting XI after two goals for Scotland during the break while maintaining a 100 per cent shot accuracy for his country. On the opposite flank, Leon Bailey could keep his spot despite failing to register a shot on target at Anfield.
In the centre of the park, Youri Tielemans could remain in the side after maintaining a 92 per cent pass accuracy last time out while Ross Barkley could come in for the Belgium international from the start.

Ahead of the midfield four, Morgan Rogers could make his first start since signing a new contract at Villa Park. Against Liverpool he completed one dribble and had two strikes on goal, he will be hoping he can convert his chances better if he is to start against Palace.
Emery always has a decision to make between Jhon Duran and Ollie Watkins from the start but after a goal for England, the Spaniard is likely to go with the latter. The Villa striker scored for his country while maintaining a 100 per cent conversion rate and dribble success rate against Greece (14 November).
