The Villa centre-back has been imperative to everything good at the club in recent years and has been an ever-present under Unai Emery.

It has been frustrating for the Englishman in recent weeks given that he has been forced to feature at right back with Matty Cash absent through injury.

Now it appears that the Villans have been dealt yet another blow after what has happened to the ex-Brentford man on international duty.

Konsa was hobbling as the halftime whistle was blown in the 3-0 win against Greece before being replaced by Lewis Hall at the interval.

This was a frustrating watch for Villa supporters who have already seen their side go five games without a win in all competitions.

Emery doesn’t need more injury concerns to deal with the defender returning to B6 early, he could be the latest name on the absentee list.

Pau Torres is also a concern with Spain so this upcoming clash against Palace could prove to be a difficult one.
