Unai Emery must take notice of Aston Villa starlet Ben Broggio after England update
Unai Emery must take notice of Ben Broggio after the Aston Villa youngster scored for England Under-18s.
The Villans have had an up-and-down start to the season but in recent weeks, four defeats in a row have dampened the feeling around the club.
These defeats have been largely due to a lack of attacking impetus which has seen Villa score just three goals in their last five games.
The international break has posed an opportunity for some stars to work their way into Emery’s thinking but it is an academy prospect in Broggio who has captured the attention.

The 17-year-old grabbed a goal in his second start for the Three Lions’ Under-18s side in a clash against Poland, continuing his excellent form this season.
This has seen him register six goals across all competitions, which he has now added to with a strike on the international break.
This just goes to show how far the winger has come and represents a big step up for the academy product who has made multiple appearances in the UEFA Youth League this campaign.
As a result, a step up to the first team at Villa Park could be coming up shortly, which will have only been benefitted by his goal for his country.
Broggio has already made one appearance for Emery’s side this season, coming on against Wycombe Wanderers in the EFL Cup.
The youngster is proving himself to the Spaniard for the academy side and for England and at some point he has to show some faith and hand him some Premier League minutes, especially after being dumped out of the cup by Crystal Palace.
