Aston Villa duo Jacob Ramsey and Boubacar Kamara could be sidelined for six weeks

Bryan King has speculated that Aston Villa duo Jacob Ramsey and Boubacar Kamara could be sidelined for up to six weeks.

The ex-Villa scout believes it is difficult to put an exact timescale on a return from a hamstring injury.

As reported via the Athletic (11 November), Ramsey and Kamara are both expected to be out for a few weeks after suffering hamstring injuries.

However, King – speaking exclusively to Villa News – fears that they could be sidelined for even longer.

“These are two regular first-team players,” King said.

“Therefore, losing them both at the same time leaves quite a large hole in the squad. Aston Villa have quite a decent squad. However, they have been struggling as of late.

“Luckily, the November international break gives Ramsey and Kamara a couple of weeks to recover. However, although we’re talking about a few weeks here, hamstring injuries are very difficult to put a timescale on.

“They could have players out for anywhere from two weeks to six weeks.”

Unai Emery dealt Boubacar Kamara and Jacob Ramsey blow at Aston Villa

News of Ramsey and Kamara’s injuries just compounds Villa’s recent misery.

The club have lost their last four matches in all competitions, and it looks as though Emery just can’t catch a break at the moment. Ramsey is a key player at Villa Park, while Kamara himself has only just returned from a knee injury.

Therefore, Emery will want to get both players back as quickly as possible.

However, if Villa’s greatest fears are realised and both players do miss out on six weeks of action, that could prove very problematic, especially during the busy festive schedule.
