Aston Villa hit by crushing blow after Jacob Ramsey and Boubacar Kamara injury news
Aston Villa duo Jacob Ramsey and Boubacar Kamara are set to be sidelined for weeks due to hamstring injuries, according to The Athletic.
Ramsey was forced off in the first half of Villa’s 2-0 loss at Liverpool on Saturday (9 November), while Kamara finished off the game after coming on as a 74th-minute substitute for Amadou Onana.
The Athletic reported on 11 November that Kamara appears to have a grade 1 strain after initial scans and will be likely out for “a few weeks”.
Ramsey, who also picked up a hamstring injury, has been given a similar timeframe, although the club will assess the two over the next few days.
Aston Villa suffer Jacob Ramsey and Boubacar Kamara blows
Ramsey has been a regular for Emery this season, starting in nine of Aston Villa’s games across all competitions.
Starting on the left side of midfield, the 23-year-old was significantly involved for the Villans against Liverpool before being forced off. He registered 23 touches and finished 10 of his 12 passes with 83 per cent accuracy (FotMob).
Ramsey also won three of his five duels (all ground) with a 60 per cent success rate. He completed both the dribbles he attempted as well.
Kamara, on the other hand, could not make an impact during his 16-minute cameo but will be gutted to have suffered a setback having only recently returned from a knee injury.

The 24-year-old did, however, shine in his first 90 minutes back against Crystal Palace recently, completing 87 per cent of his passes and creating two chances with 83 touches of the ball.
The international break might have come at the right time for Aston Villa as the pair could now work their way towards fitness while club football is on pause.
The injuries to Ramsey and Kamara come after Matty Cash picked up a problem in the 4-1 loss to Tottenham last weekend. Although the Pole is expected to return imminently (Tomasz Wlodarczyk), the mounting injuries will be a cause of concern to Emery.
