Aston Villa insider demands more from ‘angry’ Jhon Duran amid PSG transfer speculation
Bryan King has demanded Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran to display more consistency.
The ex-Villa scout hasn’t been impressed with the 20-year-old whenever he has started this season.
As reported by Fichajes (7 November), Paris Saint-Germain have set their sights on signing Duran in January.
However, King – speaking exclusively to Villa News – isn’t sure whether the striker is ready for that kind of move.
“PSG would need to come up with a lot of money for Duran,” King said.
“However, they have owners who have that kind of money. It seems as though whenever Duran starts, he doesn’t have that spark. Normally he is on the bench, and thinks he should be playing, so he is angry and comes on fired up with a point to prove.
“Whether he deserves to move to PSG depends on what type of character he is. It seems as though if he doesn’t start, he moans and groans. He just signed a new contract. He’s earned that contract, so he needs to keep himself in the form that earned him that contract.
“He needs to be more consistent, I don’t care what anyone says.”
Paris Saint-Germain to try and sign Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran?
PSG aren’t the only big European club interested in Duran.
Therefore, it seems as though Unai Emery’s side will soon have a decision to make on the 20-year-old.
Duran has no doubt made a big impact this season. However, it is fair to suggest that when he has started, he hasn’t been anywhere near as influential, and he isn’t short of off-field antics either.

Therefore, if Duran wants to move away, or continue starting regularly for Villa, he needs to start performing more consistently.
In other Aston Villa news, the club are frontrunners in the January bid to sign Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap.
