Aston Villa want to sign Loic Bade as Sevilla transfer update emerges
Aston Villa have joined the race to sign Sevilla centre-back Loic Bade, according to Vamos Mi Sevilla.
The Spanish source reported [3 November] that Unai Emery’s side are facing competition from Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, PSG and Newcastle United.
It is understood that the 24-year-old has a £42million (€50million) release clause, and with the club’s current financial struggles, the player has “many ballots” to leave soon.
Aston Villa to bring Loic Bade back to the Premier League?
Despite joining Nottingham Forest, Bade is very much a stranger to the Premier League, having never made an appearance during his six-month spell at The City Ground.
Since leaving Forest, the central defender has become an incredibly key figure in La Liga, first impressing during his six-month loan in the 2022/23 season before making the move permanent.
Having nailed down a regular spot in the Sevilla first team, Bade now has Champions League and Europa League experience under his belt, even earning a call-up to the France national team.
While Emery has plenty of defensive options at Villa Park right now, with the return of Tyrone Mings adding to Ezri Konsa, Pau Torres and Diego Carlos, some fans are becoming frustrated with the latter.

Carlos’ inconsistency looks to be becoming somewhat of an issue for the Villans, and with the club being urged to sell him, the money could certainly go towards signing Bade.
With the amount of interest, however, Emery and his staff will need to act quickly if they are to secure the defender’s signature during the January transfer window.
