Aston Villa fans told what to do as Leon Bailey woes continue at Villa Park

Ty Bracey believes Morgan Rogers has taken Leon Bailey’s role at Aston Villa this season and has urged supporters to get behind him.

The 27-year-old is yet to register a goal this campaign and has generally struggled for form and fitness so far this campaign.

This dropoff in performances from last season has gone the opposite way to Rogers who has only continued to get better in the number 10 role behind Ollie Watkins.

Villa podcaster Bracey, who features on the Villa Social, has suggested that the England Under-21 international is in a different role this year which has impacted his game but has urged fans to back him.

Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Bracey said: “He seems to be struggling to find his feet so fans need to get behind him and let him know that we’re behind him.

We understand that there has been a dip in the form, last year he had the more free role which Morgan Rogers has adopted this season.

He had a bit more time on the ball to carry it last season as opposed to this season but I have no doubt that he’ll come good.

I hope he’ll be back to his best soon, we know there is a player in there and what he is capable of.

Leon Bailey struggles for Aston Villa form

The Jamaica international was superb last campaign but has failed to have much of an impact for Villa so far this season.

At times the winger has been dropped to the bench for crunch games such as the Bayern Munich win where Jaden Philogene came in to replace him.

Bailey was complimented by Moussa Diaby last season but with the Frenchman now gone, he has to work to build that relationship with Rogers who has had an electric start to the campaign.
