Aston Villa tipped to complete ‘perfect’ Bryan Mbuemo signing as transfer news emerges
Dan Bardell believes Bryan Mbeumo would be a perfect fit at Aston Villa under Unai Emery but would question the deal given the options already available in his position.
The Villans have joined the race alongside a whole host of Premier League sides to sign the Cameroon international from Brentford [TBR Football].
The 25-year-old is out of contract in 2026 and could come in at Villa Park to provide competition for the likes of Leon Bailey and Jacob Ramsey outside.
Sky Sports and talkSPORT journalist Bardell has questioned the signing despite thinking the forward would be perfect for Emery’s side.
Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Bardell said: “It would be a brilliant signing.
“He’s still relatively young, he’s got Premier League experience and has been Brentford’s most important player.
“He would be perfect for Emery and just perfect for Villa.
“Villa have already got a couple of wide players there which would make me question it.
“If they did get him in, it would be an exciting signing because I think he is one of the most exciting players in the Premier League at the moment.“
Aston Villa interested in Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford
The Bees star has been one of the shining lights in the league so far this season, scoring six goals in nine appearances in all competitions.
This could make him a very useful asset under Emery given his eye for goal combined with an excellent work rate under Thomas Frank at Brentford.
If he were to complete a move to B6, the likes of Bailey, Ramsey and Jaden Philogene would all be under pressure to perform to keep their spot in the squad.

With that being said, his signing could prove to be a waste of precious funds unless a wide midfielder departs Villa Park.
In other Aston Villa news, Arsenal are now ready to make a move to sign a Villa goalkeeper as a David Raya decision has been made.
