Aston Villa have joined the race to sign Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford amid interest from other "top-six" Premier League clubs, according to TBR.

The online outlet reported on 20 October that the Cameroon international is on the radar of multiple clubs with Arsenal, Liverpool, Man City and Newcastle United showing an interest.

The Villans now look to have joined the race and are keeping tabs on the 25-year-old whose current deal expires in 2026.

It has to be said that Unai Emery doesn't have a lack of attacking options in his squad which have helped to a positive start to the season.

Even with a key player like Leon Bailey having a slow start to the season, other stars have stepped up to fill the void left.

With that being said, bringing in someone like Mbeumo would only improve the quality of the squad available in B6.

The Cameroonian has had a stellar start to the season for the Bees, replacing the goal output of Ivan Toney with ease after he departed for Saudi Arabia.

This has seen the ex-Troyes ace score six goals in his opening eight appearances in the Premier League, in his sixth season with the club.

The winger may look to make the move away from the GTECH Community Stadium in the coming years as his current deal runs down.

Brentford may be keen to move Mbeumo on while they can accrue a fee which may give Emery and Monchi the perfect chance to pounce.
