Leon Bailey can exploit Ipswich weak link in Aston Villa showdown at Portman Road
Leon Bailey could prove to be the Aston Villa match-winner up against Lief Davis for Ipswich Town.
The Villans travel to Portman Road on Sunday 29 September as they look to make it six wins on the bounce in all competitions.
The newly promoted side are yet to secure a win in the Premier League this season after drawing their last three matches.
Kieran McKenna’s men will be keen to cause an upset but Unai Emery could rest his faith in Bailey to help take another three points away from home.
Leon Bailey could be Aston Villa match-winner v Ipswich Town
Davis has started every game for the Tractor Boys so far this season after being an everpresent for them in the Championship last campaign.
The 24-year-old has a tendency to get forward when possible which saw him attempt 10 crosses and have one shot on target in his last game against Southampton [FotMob].
With the Englishman looking to get in behind at every opportunity, Bailey could take advantage of the space to cause the Ipswich defence trouble.
The Jamaican came on for the second half last time out in the Premier League against Wolves and had a positive impact in the 3-1 win.
This saw the 27-year-old take 29 touches and complete 15 passes throughout the clash with an 88 per cent accuracy [FotMob] which Emery will have been pleased with.
Despite failing to get his only shot on target, his dribbling was on point with a 100 per cent success rate as well as completing all of his crosses on the day.
Bailey won two duels while being fouled once which is only a positive for the winger who likes to get at his man.

He carried his performance into the EFL Cup clash against Wycombe Wanderers where he completed two dribbles and completed a cross.
There is a lot to like about Bailey and his performances and he could prove to be a match-winner in behind Davis for the Villans against Ipswich.
