Morgan Rogers shares Ezri Konsa verdict as Aston Villa star features for England
Aston Villa defender Ezri Konsa has been praised by his Aston Villa teammates after his performance in England’s Nations League win against Finland.
Konsa took to Instagram shortly after limping off the pitch and was quickly commended by past and present club mates.
The 26-year-old wrote: “A good win tonight happy to get some mins and put the England shirt on. Congrats to Harry Kane on 100 caps.”
Teammates flooded his replies, with Ian Maatsen, Morgan Rogers, and former Villa star Moussa Diaby all praising the defender.
Rogers commented: “The best man.”
A solid international break for the Villa squad
Konsa may have come off injured in the England game, but his performance along with several others from the Villa squad, are a sign of positive things as the Midlands squad prepares for Champions League football.
Winger Rogers was on fire for England U21s, scoring two goals in a 4-1 win over Austria U21s, and young forward Jhon Duran featured in Colombia’s shocking win over Argentina.
Although a few players will be spending time in the medical room over the next few weeks, manager Unai Emery will be impressed by what he’s seen over the break.

Villa face 13 matches in the run-in between now and the next international break, hosting Bayern Munich and Man United, whilst facing away trips to Tottenham and Liverpool in the Premier League.
Emery will be eager to have a squad fit and ready to earn maximum points in some of the toughest games the side has faced in years, though his players seem up for the challenge.
