Aston Villa leak causes major excitement at Villa Park with announcement due

Ty Bracey has praised Aston Villa for making the most of a bad situation in preseason ahead of their home kit launch.

The Villans revealed on 20 July that they will reveal their home shirt for the upcoming season on Tuesday (23 July) after two preseason games without a kit.

In clashes against Walsall and Spartak Trnava Unai Emery’s side lined up in a white and black Adidas shirt with an Aston Villa Foundation sponsor.

Villa podcaster Bracey is all for this decision while looking forward to seeing the new kit when it is released.

Speaking exclusively to Villa News, Bracey said: “Every year there is frustration and comparison between ourselves and other clubs for how late the shirt is released.

We went from Castore to Adidas quite quickly so I am surprised that it is out this quickly. Based on the leaks, I’m happy with the shirt and I’m excited for the launch on Tuesday.

If they want to make some money for the foundation and wear these generic kits then I’m all for it in preseason personally.

It’s a nice gesture to make raise funds for charity and make the most of the situation without a kit.

Aston Villa set to reveal home shirt

The Villans are already two games into their preseason but will only have a kit ready for their third against Colombus Crew on Sunday (28 July).

This has certainly caused some frustration within the Villa fan base with the club and Chris Heck’s communication slammed once again.

This frustration was slightly masked with the Villa Foundation shirts that were used with them being auctioned off post-match.

Now supporters have been granted their wish with the kit reveal set to take place and, despite frequent and regular leaks, there is excitement building.

Aston Villa fans

This is only amplified by the prospect of Champions League football at Villa Park which has got fans looking forward to the season opener against West Ham already.
